Altar Guild
"I was glad when they said, "Let us go to the house of the Lord." -Psalm 122:1
The altar guild is a group of lay members of our parish whose responsibility is to prepare all things necessary for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and any other services of the church. These preparations are done in a manner so that any service may be conducted in “decency, order and beauty for the worship of God,” as Don Taylor states in his excellent training guide for altar guilds.
Service on the altar guild is open to all. The only requirement is that one be mindful of the high privilege of serving in God’s sanctuary.
