Mission Statement

We at St. John’s know what it is to receive God’s love through other people. Our discipleship goes beyond Sunday morning, and we are called to bring peace to others as “doers of the Word” (James 1:22)—as God’s hands and feet (St. Teresa of Avila). Whether by injury, grief, childbirth, changing abilities, mental or physical illnesses, we all experience times of need.

Our mission is to care for the people of St. John’s to the best of our abilities, in sickness and in health, and to make it easier for people to ask for help—in short, to extend God’s love to one another in practical ways. We are the family of God, after all.
